Educational Qualification
Class 10 (Matriculation) pass from a recognised board, OR ITI certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT in relevant trades.

Special / Additional Relaxations
- Candidates domiciled in J&K from Jan 1, 1980 to Dec 31, 1989: 5 years relaxation.
- Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years relaxation.
- Railway Group C & D employees and ex-apprentices: relaxation as per Railway Board circular.
Important Notes
- Age is calculated as of July 1st of the notification year.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Males must carry 35 kg for 100m in 2 minutes; Females must carry 20 kg for 100m in 2 minutes.
- Medical examination is mandatory after PET.
